Job Summary:

As a member of UDC’s Chemical Business, this position will work closely with UDC’s HQ team and contract manufacturing partner (PPG) in the development and manufacture of UDC’s OLED materials. This role will focus on project management, new product introduction, and manufacturing improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate day-to-day execution of UDC’s new product introduction development programs
  • Develop and track project plans to move programs through UDC gatekeeper process
  • Manage material supply planning to ensure uninterrupted customer demand expectations.
  • Administer product performance reports to document key processes and new innovations
  • Analyze quality and manufacturing data, including yield, cycle time, and analytical or performance results, using engineering principles and statistical methods to identify trends and root cause to solve problems.
  • Understand and influence a wide range of stakeholders; collaborate effectively across external customers and internal functional teams and business units to generate strong engagement and passionate advocates
  • Promote collaboration and develop relationships with UDC’s manufacturing partner (PPG)
  • Support development and implementation of manufacturing process improvements to meet quality/business objectives

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
  • 5-7 years of applicable New Product Introduction or manufacturing experience
  • Project Management experience within applicable industry setting
  • High degree of emotional intelligence
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of technical results to ensure accurate information is provided to all applicable parties
  • Lean manufacturing/six sigma/statistical analysis
  • Problem solving and root cause analysis industry experience
  • Ability to work and adapt quickly
  • Self-motivated
  • Experience with ERP system (SAP is a plus)
  • Six Sigma Green Belt a plus

Travel Requirement:

  • Based in Monroeville, PA
  • Travel required 25% of time to UDC and PPG facilities
