Position Summary:

The Director of Global Facilities and EH&S will have overall responsibility for Universal Display Corporation’s global facilities management and environment health and safety (EH&S) organizations. The Director will manage global EH&S compliance, environmental management, health and safety programs as well as ensure safe and efficient facility operations.

 

Responsibilities:

Site Engineering and Facilities

  • Oversees of all global site facilities management, including operations maintenance, facilities construction, and physical security for all UDC sites. Oversees the functioning of all building systems including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, fire/life safety, plumbing, and waste management. Ensures building operations comply with all local zoning laws and regulation
  • Oversees all capital projects and build outs as we continue to grow into new spaces and enhance existing spaces. This would include working with architects and contractors on design and execution of all existing and new construction.
  • Manage all facilities policies, procedures and organizational structures necessary to maintain compliance with all local zoning laws and regulations.
  • Oversight of all required licenses, permits and certifications.
  • Partner with UDC locations outside the U.S. to ensure a consistent facilities management approach and strategy is delivered on a global basis.

EH&S Management

  • Drives the operational implementation of EH&S strategies and initiatives in a way that builds a company-wide safety and compliance culture.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve EH&S programs, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state/provincial, local laws and regulations.
  • Responsible for ensuring there is adequate promotion, communication, and education of all employees on safety, health, ergonomic, industrial hygiene, and environmental programs.
  • Represent the company internally and externally as the subject matter expert in all EH&S related activities. Lead the development of tracking, analysis and assessment of global EH&S metrics and advise management about company impacts and improvements.
  • Ensure adequacy of and provide leadership to the on-site EH&S resources at UDC facilities.

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of facility and/or EH&S management experience
  • Experience leading and expanding facilities in chemical/life science labs in a regulated environment
  • Solid knowledge of property and facility management, leases / contract review and construction terms and practices
  • Strong project management skills as the position requires to project manage across global operations
  • Experience working on a global team with non-U.S operations preferred
  • Well organized with meticulous attention to detail
  • Certified Safety Professional – CSP and or OSHA Certifications preferred
  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Ability to travel as needed (domestic and global)
